Further to our news Bulletin dates 7th June, we are still experiencing on-going delays in relation to return of empty containers.
This continues to add pressure on industry as carriers at times need to cancel the empty return booking after waiting several hours
The delays have now stretched along the east coast and mainly impacting the Sydney & Brisbane markets.
In addition to above and adding to the pressure of servicing empty returns, we are seeing an increase in Export volume and therefore delays are compounded with empty containers going in and out of empty facilities.
Currently the delays are accumulating in excess of 5 hours.
