As import demand from Asia continues to increase, many of the Shipping Lines have indicated that they will be introducing a rate restoration.

We have received notices from several of the Shipping Lines advising that rate restorations from North Asia to Australia will be introduced in order that they maintain their schedules and services to customers. Effective dates for each of the lines are:

 

• OOCL which will be applicable from 15^th June 2024 – USD 300/20’ and USD 600/40’.
• OOCL which will be applicable from 1^st July 2024 – USD 500/20’ and USD 1000/40’.
• Gold Star Line which will be applicable from 15^th June 2024 – USD 300/20’ and USD 600/40’.
• ANL which will be applicable from 1^st July 2024 – USD 500/20’ and USD 1000/40’.
• MSC which will be applicable from 1^st July 2024 – USD 500/20’ and USD 1000/40’.

 

The increase will be applied in full, and in addition to existing market rates for all shipments based on shipment onboard date. As is usual practice, the total shipping cost will be subject to ancillary surcharges applicable at the time of shipment.
