Dear Valued Customers,
DP World has released the below regarding Hanjin,
“We have been doing our very best to minimise the impact of Hanjin Shipping’s decision to file for court protection on our customers and partners. But our costs are mounting and so from today, we will charge a handling fee to clear boxes from our terminal.
We will introduce a $ 400 (20’/40’) + GST charge to handle Import Hanjin containers currently at DP World Australia terminals in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The containers can be delivered if the cost of terminal handling is paid prior to collection. All other relevant Import tariffs will be applicable.
We will also be introducing a storage charge for units that we receive as Exports currently on DP World Australia terminals. The charge will be $210 per teu per day and will commence 18 September 2016.
Our priority at this time is to ensure our customers’ cargoes are delivered as quickly as possible.” – DP World
