Dear Valued Client
Please be advised that the Thai Customs Act has recently undergone a slight alteration in relation to the marking of goods moving in and out of Thailand. Whilst the change has primarily been in the wording of the Thai Customs Act, we feel it timely to remind all Thai exporters, along with Australian exporters of goods moving to Thailand, of the following requirements :-
All import and export shipments must include a shipping mark on outer packages
There is a statutory penalty of 50,000 THB ( approx. $1,900 AUD ) under the new Customs Act for non-compliance with the requirements for shipping marks.
Please feel free to contact your local BRi office should you have any queries in relation to this matter.
Keeping you updated BRi Customs Team
