To our Valued Customers,
As Hurricane Matthew approaches the US East Coast the local ports have started to take measures in their preparedness and have announced terminal closures for Week 40 starting on Wednesday with limited operations and full closures starting on Thursday 10/6 through Saturday 10/8 for South Carolina State Port Authority (SCSPA) for both Wando and NCOT terminals.

Hurricane Matthew continues on its northwesterly movement towards the Florida panhandle & is expected to impact the region starting Thursday night. We are starting to see closures of rail/intermodal/port facilities and should expect delays in the region through the early part of week 41. Current models are forecasting the storm to move out to the east through the weekend.
CSX has implemented their hurricane action plan per below:
Norfolk Southern (NS) is currently preparing for Hurricane Matthew by repositioning rail equipment away from the Southeast Coastal areas and moving shipments inland to secured rail yards. Traffic in route is being held at various yards throughout the NS system in an effort to alleviate congestion in the affected regions. NS continues to monitor the storm closely and is taking precautions to protect employees, track, and shipments in these areas. Customers should expect delays to affected areas that could last several days.
