HUMIDITY IN NORTH CHINA

Dear Valued Clients,

 

Due to the high humidity levels in North China at present some of our customers have experienced damage to cargo due to condensation also known as “container sweating”.

 

There are a variety of ways to prevent this situation and the main one is to use desiccants. The use of desiccants are designed to combat condensation inside containers as they absorb moisture. By eliminating condensation, the desiccants protect the goods from damage caused by mould/corrosion/mildew etc.

Desiccants come in many sizes and can be applied by hanging them inside the container, affixing to cartons/pallets etc.

 

We also suggest that suppliers are informed to ensure pallets used are dry prior to loading.
