Please note that the port situation has further deteriorated leading to a severe crisis for movement of import and export containers to / from the CFS.
The major operational constraints are:
We refer you to the attached media release providing more detail around reason for delay and impact on shipping terminals.
There is a severe congestion en-route to NSICT gate due to GTI vessels calling at NSICT. This has badly impacted the movement of all import and export containers.
“GO SLOW” still continue since 21st/1100hrs
Handling of import / export volume has come down. Export volume on all services at APMT terminal is very less from week 43 to 47 due to huge export shut outs, restriction of moves, opening of export gate for few hrs etc.
APMT Terminal facing berthing delays of 24 hrs and terminal has restricted to move count restriction.
Presently JNPT Terminal facing berthing delays of 12-14 hrs due to frequent break down of gantries, and also high yard inventory. Also, terminal has informed deadline sailing will be imposed to all VSL as per window hours.
Traffic towards the terminal gates are heavily congested at JNPT AND NSICT terminal due to heavy flow of export containers.
